It is perfect outside and I’m drinking beers on my back porch alone. I wish I was better at initiating friendships and maintaining the ones I already have. It’s moments like this that I wish I could share with a group of friends. Friendships have never been effortless for me and as I enter adulthood I wonder if I ever will have the kind of friendship I admire.
